After his podium finish in the Sprint Race at Termas de Rio Hondo, Luca Marini wants to confirm himself among the fastest in Austin not only in Saturday’s race but also over the long distance.

The Mooney VR46 Racing Team centaur told official channels ahead of the Grand Prix of the Americas: “Austin is perhaps the most challenging race of the year: a very difficult track, technical and complicated to handle physically. It will be stressful for everyone, not only for me, it will be crucial to work better than the others and start well from Friday. Understand the real values in the field because, with the new format, everything has changed, especially on the tracks on which we did not have the opportunity to run in the off season. The goal is to hit Q2 right away to be more relaxed in managing the whole weekend and do a good qualifying, which is crucial for both race distances.”
