Valentino Rossi freezes Yamaha
Former MotoGp champion Valentino Rossi and owner of the VR46 team: “I don’t think it will change the contract with Ducati, and we always want to be in front…”
Valentino Rossi in an interview with Sportweek seems to definitively close the door on a VR46 team landing at Yamaha, at least next season: “We have a three-year contract with Ducati, even for 2024, and I don’t think that will change.”
According to rumors, Yamaha would be willing to assign factory team status, but the Doctor is doubtful: “Factory status is difficult, because for me they will always make the factory team. For the future we will see. With Yamaha it would be nice, however, we have to see the competitiveness of the bikes. We want to go to the races hoping to finish in front,” he warned.
