VR46, Bezzecchi believes: “I can fight for the World Championship”

Marco Bezzecchi still leading the World Championship after the MotoGp race in Austin: the Ducati VR46 rider finished in sixth place, and remained in the lead thanks to Pecco Bagnaia’s new crash: “It was a difficult weekend in which we started off not as great as maybe in Argentina or Portugal. I struggled on Friday and yesterday I had to go a bit ‘hope to God’. Today however was going well, maybe the only thing I can complain about is that I pushed too early and that didn’t help the front tire, because I struggled especially on the right as always on this track.”

“In the last six to seven laps it was survival, however, in the end it’s okay. Maybe I could have done fourth at best however I did sixth, it’s okay anyway.”

Bezzecchi after a promising start to the championship believes he can fight for the title: “The team is definitely important. Everyone is very good and charged, the mentality is right. I can’t complain, my side of the box is really beautiful and Luca’s too. You can fight for the World Championship until the end, it was not what I was thinking at the beginning of the season and it’s also not what I want to think about now, because I have to keep improving to be faster and faster.”
