Jannik Sinner, Lindsey Vonn bluntly.
Lindsey Vonn, social message to Jannik Sinner
Despite the disappointment of not making it to the final of the Monte Carlo Masters 1000, Jannik Sinner posted an unequivocal phrase on his social channels to confirm his self-confidence: “Find the positives.”
Words that attracted the appreciation of a former athlete of enormous caliber such as Lindsey Vonn, a legend of alpine skiing, capable of putting in her trophy cabinet (among other trophies) 4 overall World Cups, 2 world golds and an Olympic gold. “There are a lot of positives,” Vonn wrote in direct response to Sinner’s post, “the first being being the youngest to reach the semifinals at Indian Wells, Miami and Monte Carlo in the same season.
Lindsey Vonn is no stranger to expressions of esteem for the young South Tyrolean athlete: after the semifinal of the Miami tournament she won against Carlos Alcaraz, the 38-year-old from Burnsville, Minnesota, tweeted her elation at the success, writing “Yessss @janniksin Forza!!!!!!!!!!.”
