Carlos Alcaraz coach sends message to opponents
Juan Carlos Ferrero warns opponents: ‘Roland Garros will be a goal’
Carlos Alcaraz’s coach, Juan Carlos Ferrero, gave an interesting interview to Marca, in which he sent a clear message to his pupil’s rivals: “If you are number one or two, the goals have to be the biggest ones and these are the Masters 1000 and the Grand Slams. After winning one, he thinks he can win the next one and it’s in his mind. We don’t talk about it every day, but Roland Garros will be a goal for him. Wimbledon is also a goal because he wants to play well on grass and I think so too. And when we get to the US Open he will have a new experience, that of defending a title.”
Ferrero also counted Jannik Sinner among the most dangerous opponents at Roland Garros: “I think there are more rivals. They are Djokovic, Tsitsipas, Zverev, who also plays very well on clay, Sinner will be there, also Rune. I don’t think only Carlos is Rafa’s rival.”
