Ferrari fishes in Red Bull: two engineers hired
An inbound and forward-looking operation carried out against the big rival.
Ferrari on the move to raise its head again after an extremely disappointing start to the 2023 season. In Maranello, work is being done in the short term, given Charles Leclerc’s recent session at the simulator, but also with a view to 2024. In fact, according to information from ‘Corriere dello Sport,’ the Cavallino has reportedly contracted two new engineers directly from Red Bull.
The two, the Roman newspaper explained Saturday, would have already stopped working for Red Bull and signed their new contract for Ferrari. They will now, however, have to undergo a period of gardening (forced inactivity), entering the job only for the next championship. Neither their names nor their actual duties are known at the moment, but there is speculation that the operation is part of the project that John Elkann had pre-announced. Indeed, the latter, in a letter to Exor shareholders, had spoken of “profound changes to strengthen the activity on the track.”
