Stefanos Tsitsipas earned the final of the ATP 500 tournament over Lorenzo Musetti, whom he defeated in two hours and 29 minutes with a final score of 6-4, 5-7, 6-3. It was therefore a success that was anything but easy, so much so that the Greek wanted to praise his colleague at the end of the match.

“He is a very difficult opponent to face,” Tsitsipas said in fact about Musetti, “In order to beat him I was forced to give something more than normal. Lorenzo is able to find incredible defensive shots. In his regard I have the deepest respect.”

“The match we played was very physical. We put each other in the position of having to cover a lot of the field. At the same time, however, it was also a very psychological challenge, and to win I had to fight until the end,” Tsitsipas added.
