Matteo Berrettini, confession on Jannik Sinner and Lorenzo Musetti

Matteo Berrettini in an interview with Style Magazine described his relationships with other Italian tennis players, “We try to stay as close as possible. With Lorenzo Sonego we have known each other since we were kids and we are very close; also with Lorenzo Musetti the relationship is very good; with Jannik Sinner we talk less but it’s normal, you can’t be friends with everyone.”

“Friends off the field? The historical ones are always the same even if we rarely see each other. Thanks to tennis, then, I have met people who work in other fields but with whom I have a lot in common, such as Alessandro Borghi and Marracash.”

The Roman tennis player is currently injured: “The last two years have been full of victories but also very tiring. Injuries, then, made me lose the pleasure of the game, because I would go down to the court thinking that I had to make up for lost time. I hope to regain the joy of playing tennis. The goal is to do well in the big tournaments: the ones I care most about are the Internazionali d’Italia and Wimbledon.”
