Tadej Pogacar: fractured wrist. But for the Slovenian ‘it’s lucky’

Tadej Pogacar suffered a fracture in the scaphoid of his left hand after the disastrous crash that forced him to retire in the Liège-Bastogne-Liège, later won by Remco Evenepoel. However, the Slovenian champion, who has already undergone surgery at Genk Hospital, said he was lucky: “Bad things like that can happen. Considering what a crazy fall it was, to have broken only one wrist is lucky.”

“I hope that Mikkel Honoré, who fell harder than me, can have the best recovery. I can hardly describe how happy I am to have received such support from the team, fans, friends, family, and especially the hospital staff. I hope to see you all very soon. In the meantime, congratulations on the win in Evenepoel, our duel must wait… until next time,” added the UAE Emirates rider.
