F1, Sprint Race: Max Verstappen adamant on new format
F1, Verstappen confident: “The Sprint Shootout will make everything more hectic”
On the day of the Baku GP presentation, Max Verstappen also spoke about his expectations for this race weekend and the Sprint Shootout novelty.
“It is difficult to make a prediction. It is a street circuit and the track has undergone some changes. In addition, the introduction of the Sprint Shootout will make everything more hectic and it will be more difficult to fine-tune the car after FP1. I expect a very close qualifying, because we all know that starting at the front here can make a difference,” said the Red Bull driver.
“Hopefully we won’t have to use the DRS as much. I was surprised by the power of our moving wing. I think the car is quite similar to last year’s and I hope it will be as efficient on the straights as it was last season,” added Max Verstappen.
