I’m glad to see this group, they have an incredible level. It’s good for Italian tennis and for the whole sport. I hope Italy continues like this.”

“Rome has always had the tradition of good tennis and good crowd, it is almost a Slam for all of us. The tournament deserves the upgrade. When I came back to Italy so many years after my last match, I couldn’t believe how much the tournament had grown compared to when I played. Getting to equal prize money, then, is very important for everyone. It’s a struggle that was always there, even when I was on the court. Now I’m happy to see that,” she concluded.
