Astonishment at the difficulties found on the track, but the conviction that we can overcome them.

Pecco Bagnaia did not make it into the MotoGP Top 10 after Friday’s free practice at the Spanish Grand Prix, which will force him to contest Q1 of Jerez qualifying. It was an abnormal situation for the reigning world champion, but he said he is confident that Ducati will find a solution to the problems he faced on the track.

“Last year everything came to us with ease, so this result surprised us,” Bagnaia admitted at the end of the day. “Actually the times were the same as in 2022, but there was a bit of extra effort. In particular there were problems on the front and in sectors T3 and T4. I really lose a lot of time here.”

“Jerez is quite a special track, and the balance of the bike in 2023 is different than in the past. However, I trust the team, I am convinced that we will find a solution. That is why I feel calm, although in Q1 we will have to deal with a lot of fast riders and it will not be easy,” Bagnaia added about Ducati.
