MotoGp, Fabio Quartararo is hard as hell: ultimatum to Yamaha
Fabio Quartararo, ultimatum to Yamaha
It is an increasingly less patient Fabio Quartararo with his Yamaha YZR-M1, the one seen on track in Jerez over the Spanish Grand Prix weekend.
From the columns of ‘La Gazzetta dello Sport,’ ‘El Diablo’ issued a real ultimatum to the House of the Three Tuning Forks: “Do I feel lonely? More than lonely,” the 2021 world champion glossed. We struggle and everything is more difficult, not having the data of other riders. Ducati has eight bikes, Morbidelli and I alone really struggle.”
Quartararo doesn’t like the idea of feeling like “David versus Goliath”: “I’m not having so much fun,” he confirmed, “The first year of MotoGp was the best, every time I got on the bike I knew I was the limit. From the following years, however, I never saw much improvement. Even in 2021 when I won the World Championship I didn’t have as much fun as I did in 2019.”
Inevitably, thoughts turn to future ambitions. And the ultimatum is triggered: “Right now I just want to think about this year, but the time will come,” said Quartararo. “It will depend on the 2024 bike, if it is like this year’s I will definitely have to think about something different.
