Luca Marini: “It was tough, sixth was best possible result”
A welcomed result after a tiring weekend.
Luca Marini finished the MotoGP Spanish Grand Prix in sixth position, welcoming the Jerez result positively. Indeed, Valentino Rossi’s brother admitted that he encountered quite a few difficulties during the Iberian weekend.
“I am happy with today’s race and P6, I think it was the best possible result today,” Marini admitted at the end of the day. “Yesterday I struggled while today we managed to do a good job. I didn’t feel good on the bike after the warm up, we made some changes and I brought home a good finish in the race.”
“It was tough, I was not at 100 percent,” Marini added about Sunday in Jerez, “but it was easy to make mistakes or mistakes. I was suffering in the corners: turns 4, 5 and especially 7 and 8. I couldn’t turn the bike, get it up and then accelerate out. I tried to brake as hard as I could and not give up. We remain focused on the test day, we have some setting work ahead of us.”
