MotoGp Jerez: Bagnaia triumphs and redeems himself, Bezzecchi knocked out
Ducati centaur Pecco Bagnaia has won the MotoGp Spanish Grand Prix: the Piedmontese rider, two weeks after the scorching crash in Jerez, redeemed himself by winning by a landslide ahead of the two KTMs of Brad Binder and Jack Miller and returned to the leader of the championship standings.
Fourth place for Jorge Martin, then the Aprilia of Aleix Espargarò and the Ducati of Luca Marini. Fabio Quartararo manages to re-enter the top ten, Marco Bezzecchi ends up on the ground instead.
As happened in the sprint race, the race is immediately suspended at the start due to the falls of Quartararo, Bezzecchi and Oliveira: the first two immediately return to the track at the restart of the race, the Portuguese instead has a bad arm and has to stop for checks.
At the restart the two KTMs of Binder and Miller take off very strong, followed by world champion Pecco Bagnaia, third after getting rid of Martin. After a good duel with Miller, Binder took the lead and went on the run, chased by Bagnaia who on lap 15 took advantage of a mistake by the Australian to move up to second place.
Palpitating race finale, Bagnaia overtakes Binder on lap 21 with a masterful overtake, and holds the lead until the finish. Behind falls Bezzecchi, who thus loses the leadership of the World Championship.
