MotoGp, Pecco Bagnaia sincere: “In different regulatory conditions Binder would have tried to pass me on Sunday”

Pecco Bagnaia returned to victory on Sunday at the Spanish Grand Prix. However, after a positive first day of testing, the Ducati rider returned to talk about the issue of penalties and the standard of judgment held by the Stewards Panel during the Jerez de la Frontera GP.

“I think the penalties are distorting our world. In the past we have seen very close races full of tight duels and now we are going in a direction to take that away. Aerodynamics limits you and so you have to come up with overtaking on the limit. The contacts between me and Miller and between him and Martin should have ended there. It’s true that we annoyed each other a little bit, but these are the races,” the Ducati rider began as quoted in “Motorsprint.”

“Now we have to be a little afraid in making certain maneuvers, because the penalty is always around the corner. In my case fortunately it came when I already had a margin on those following me. I am glad that at Le Mans there will be Stewards in the Safety Commission, so we can ask them for clarification. Contact has always been there, but it seems that it is no longer tolerated.”

“Under different regulatory conditions Binder would definitely have tried to pass me on Sunday, but he didn’t for fear of incurring a penalty,” added Pecco Bagnaia.
