Inter is alone in fourth place, Lazio postpones Napoli’s party for another 24 hours, Roma and Milan slow down again in the Champions League race: this is the outcome of the four evening matches of the midweek Serie A round.
Agile to say the least, the Nerazzurri’s success at home to Hellas Verona: 6-0 was the final result, with Gaich’s own goal opening the dances despite himself in the 31st minute and followed by goals from Calhanoglu in the 36th minute, Dzeko in the 37th and 61st minutes, and Lautaro Martinez in the 55th and 92nd minutes.
Lazio, on the other hand, needed a success in order not to hand the Scudetto to Napoli already tonight: against Sassuolo the success came, 2-0, thanks to goals signed by Felipe Anderson in the 14th minute and Basic in the 92nd minute.
For Roma and Milan, on the other hand, comes the second consecutive draw after the one in the direct clash. In the standings, then, Lazio reclaims second place behind Juventus (64 points vs. 63), Inter are fourth with 60, Roma and Milan share fifth with Atalanta at 58. At the back Verona remains third to last on equal points (27) with Spezia, Cremonese remains far behind, at 21.
