Raffaele Palladino candid about Di Gregorio’s mistake
Raffaele Palladino absolves his goalkeeper
Raffaele Palladino, during the press conference following his Monza’s 1-1 draw against Roma, spent a few words to “absolve” Michele Di Gregorio, whose mistake in the 24th minute of the first half actually set in motion the action of the Giallorossi’s lead, scored by El Shaarawy.
“Di Gregorio is a great goalkeeper,” the Brianzoli coach said, firmly, “if he makes certain mistakes I don’t give a damn, since we decided to build from the bottom. He has to continue like this, if he doesn’t I get angry.”
“Roma plays on your mistakes,” Palladino added. “We started very well, then they took countermeasures against us. We tried until the end but we couldn’t score goals. I am extremely satisfied with the performance, I think the draw is fair. It was a very complicated match, against opponents who know how to restart at a thousand per hour.”
