The 2023 edition of the Giro d’Italia is now upon us. From Saturday, May 6, the race in pink begins. Evenepoel, after triumphing in the Vuelta, is aiming for a Giro d’Italia as a genuine protagonist.
“The Giro is a perfect new test for me after my success in the last Vuelta. Now I have to go up another level and I never doubted to choose the Giro to do it,” his words to Gazzetta dello Sport. The Belgian star, class of 2000, is already focused on the time trial that will open the Giro d’Italia: “The thought is to finish in the top three, in such a dry test Ganna and Küng can be stronger than me.”
