Milan turnover: Stefano Pioli is unrepentant and responds to criticism
Milan coach Stefano Pioli in a press conference on the eve of the match against Lazio responded to those who criticized him for his turnover choices: “I know why I make certain choices, there is no Milan 1 and Milan 2, the draws have come with different types of formation and the performances have never lacked. There has been a lack of winning results and we definitely have to do better in this respect.”
The Rossoneri struggle under goal: “We have worked a lot on certain situations, we need to be more precise and more determined in the final solutions, from passing to shooting to the dead ball. I am very confident though, I am and so are my players.”
On De Ketelaere’s difficulties: “He should not give up and he is not giving up, as long as there is commitment I believe in quality and he has a lot of it. If there is an opportunity he will always find space.”
Pioli denies involutions of the team: “I don’t agree we are managing to dominate matches more. In the last two we have taken two goals in transition and this is a problem, but the real problem is that for the game created we cannot not score goals.”
