F1, Sergio Perez: “Max and I have an equal chance of victory”

Just hours before the start of the first free practice session of the Miami GP, Sergio Perez spoke about his own rainbow ambitions and his relationship with teammate Max Verstappen. “I think the team will give me all the support they can, as they did with Max. At this point, I think we have an equal chance to win. It would have been easy for Red Bull to give the team orders in Baku, but in Saudi Arabia and Azerbaijan we pushed hard throughout the race, even taking several risks,” the Mexican driver began in the paddock.

“Fighting for the championship is a great satisfaction, it’s what you’ve worked your whole life for. I’ve had a great career, I just want to win more races and right now I’m just focused on doing well this weekend. I’m sure the team has confidence in letting us race as well as we’re doing. I think the level of respect between Max and me is very high,” added Sergio Perez.
