Jannik Sinner, first star training in Rome
Jannik Sinner in Rome
The Internazionali d’Italia hasn’t even started yet, but Jannik Sinner has already filled the Foro Italico’s Central Court for a well-attended training session.
Two hours of intense work on the Central with Francesco Passaro for the South Tyrolean who, after the forfeit in the quarters in Barcelona against Musetti, took a few days off by forgoing Madrid. In his fifth participation, the minimum goal is to improve on last year’s quarterfinals, when he succumbed to Tsitsipas and a sore hip. It is the fans’ dream to see him win his first 1000 trophy in Rome.
With coach Simone Vagnozzi and coach Darren Cahill studying him in detail, the 21-year-old from Sesto Pusteria tried drop-shots, both forehand and backhand, before some serve and volley.
