Internazionali d’Italia, Paolo Bertolucci has no doubts about Jannik Sinner and Lorenzo Musetti
Paolo Bertolucci confident about Sinner and Musetti: “They could do interesting things in that part of the board.”
On the eve of the Internazionali d’Italia, Paolo Bertolucci spoke to “La Gazzetta dello Sport” about the tournament’s favorites and the ambitions of Italy’s top two ranking players, Jannik Sinner and Lorenzo Musetti.
“It was crucial for Jannik and Lorenzo not to end up in the part of the scoreboard next to Alcaraz and Djokovic,” one of the members of the Davis team capable of winning the Salad Bowl in 1976 told ‘La Gazzetta dello Sport.’ Our two best representatives had a good draw, with Sinner expected to face Ruud in the quarterfinals, while Musetti would find Tsitsipas in the round of 16, who has shown in recent outings that he is still far from top form. They could both achieve great results in that part of the draw.”
“Based on recent results, I would say that Alcaraz is the leading candidate for victory. At the moment on clay, he has been unapproachable for everyone, so much so that he is still undefeated in Europe. However, we should not forget Djokovic, who in Rome, will face the last test before making an assault on Roland Garros,” Bertolucci added.
