Edin Dzeko hero of San Siro calls Inter Milan for renewal
San Siro hero, but still in doubt about the future of his contract.
Edin Dzeko unlocked the Champions League semifinal between Milan and Inter Milan, scoring the Nerazzurri’s lead with a great left-footed shot that surprised his marker Calabria and opposing goalkeeper Maignan. The Bosnian striker at the end of the match did not hide his great satisfaction, but also sent a clear message to the club.
“We were all very charged up, because a derby in the semifinals certainly does not happen every year,” Dzeko stressed to the microphones of ‘Prime Video.’ “I then felt fresher, perhaps because I rested three days ago. But we all stayed focused until the end of the game, and that rewarded us.”
Dzeko then emphasized his great output, despite his 37 years of age: “Those who know me, know that this is who I am. I always give more, regardless of the goals. And this is why I am happy even if I don’t score.” Then, on the possible renewal with Inter, the message: “This question should be asked to the club. It depends on them.”
