F1, Daniel Ricciardo: resounding return to racing possible as early as this year
A sensational rumour leaks from the Italian motorsport.com website: Daniel Ricciardo has been in Faenza for the past few weeks testing the seat of the AlphaTauri AT04 and would be ready to take Nyck De Vries’ starting spot.
It is well known that patience is not one of the virtues of Red Bull Group’s market (and other) guru Helmut Marko: the Austrian is reportedly noticeably dissatisfied with the Dutchman’s performance.
Therefore, the Australian, Red Bull and AlphaTauri’s third driver, could resoundingly return to racing as early as this year. The last resort for De Vries should be the Spanish Grand Prix scheduled for May 4 in Montmeló after Imola and Monte Carlo.
