Marco Bezzecchi, confession about Valentino Rossi and Luca Marini
VR46 Racing Team centaur Marco Bezzecchi in an interview with Speedweek spoke about internal relations within the Academy and the Doctor’s possible favoritism towards his brother Luca Marini: “He doesn’t. He has to behave like that, otherwise he would get in trouble with everyone else! Luca is fast and deserves to be here. But Valentino also ensures that there is no difference.”
“We’ve known each other for a long time in this team and that’s just an advantage,” explained the Rimini rider. “We know how we work, what we like and what we don’t like about the bike. Vale did a great job giving us some rules at the beginning to keep the good feeling between everyone.”
Bezzecchi assured that competitiveness and the possible fight for the world title will not affect the VR46 atmosphere: “We train together. This creates a relationship that increases the competitiveness of the group but does not affect our bond. It’s clear that when something goes wrong, you suffer more. For example, if a driver I don’t know performs a stupid maneuver, I get angry for a moment, but it ends there. When one of my friends does something I don’t like I suffer more. Fortunately we always talk about it afterwards, I talk a lot with Franco Morbidelli or Pecco Bagnaia in particular. We are all different characters. Obviously you want to beat each other, but at the same time nobody wants to fight and we do everything for each other, because we are like brothers.”
