Ducati centaur Pecco Bagnaia, speaking ahead of the French Grand Prix in Le Mans, told a backstory of the banter exchanged with Valentino Rossi after his victory in Jerez at the Spanish GP weekend.

“We always make a lot of jokes with Rossi. He tells me that when I start on pole I always get distracted at the start, and that’s why it would be better not to be in front on the grid…,” the Ducatista jokingly explained.

“Obviously I don’t agree. In any case, from all the mistakes you can learn and improve in this section. But it was very nice to see Rossi in the Ducati box,” are the words reported by Corsedimoto.
