Salernitana sees salvation: Atalanta goes down and is further and further away from the Champions League

Saturday’s 35th Serie A matchday opened immediately with a surprise: Salernitana beat Atalanta with an Antonio Candreva goal in full recovery and saw salvation.

When the match seemed to be drawing to a close, here came the Granata’s lead: in the 93rd minute Candreva dueled with Piatek on the edge of the area and let off an unstoppable right-footed shot into the right corner.

Salernitana moves up to 38 points and sees salvation, for the Nerazzurri Champions League is getting farther and farther away, stopped at 58 points, in seventh position.
