No dice for Lorenzo Sonego in the Internazionali d’Italia round of 16: The Italian was eliminated by Greek tennis player Stefanos Tsitsipas in two sets (3-6 6-7) after more than two hours of play.

Match played over two days due to rain: on Monday evening the Greek had won the first set 6-3 thanks to the break won in the sixth game, then the rain had sent the players back to the locker room.

Re-entering the court early Tuesday afternoon, the second set was more tightly contested and went all the way to the tie-break after Sonego squandered two set points at 6-5 in his favor, but in reply.
