Holger Rune: “Me bad boy? I never broke rackets.”

“Me the new ‘bad boy’ of tennis? I just play with a lot of passion, I don’t know why it should be considered a bad boy thing. A bad boy breaks rackets, I have never done that.” Thus Holger Rune after beating Novak Djokovic in the quarterfinals of the Internazionali d’Italia.

“It was a great match, I started strong. Dealing with the rain was a bit difficult,” the young Dane added after the match. “In the past I said I wanted to win more Roland Garros than Nadal? In the meantime, let’s win one… I have already said that my goal this year is to win a Slam, and I repeat that now. I hope to break Nadal’s record, but even if I don’t make it, that would be okay.”
