Novak Djokovic already puts Roland Garros in his sights

After his elimination in the quarterfinals of the Rome Internationals against Holger Rune, Novak Djokovic spoke at a post-match press conference about the defeat and his feelings ahead of Roland Garros.

“In these conditions it was even more difficult against him. He is a very talented and dynamic player. He played at a very high level for most of the match. I think he richly deserved to win,” the Serb began sincerely towards his Danish rival.

“I am training for the most important tournament of the season on clay. I know I can play better. I hope to get in shape and arrive at Roland Garros at 100 percent. I think the favorites are Alcaraz or Rune himself, but you also have to take into consideration the possible return of Nadal. No matter what, I am still hungry and I want to keep playing against this new generation of players,” added Novak Djokovic.
