Genoa: Josep Martinez dreams of the national team

Genoa goalkeeper Josep Martinez spoke during an event with fans at the Grifone’s official store. “For me it’s a pleasure to hear our fans pushing us and I’m happy to be part of this great team and to have this fan base,” he began. “It’s a pleasure to see that there are kids who have the jersey with my name on it and that’s why I wanted to give gloves to one of them yesterday. Ascoli? For me it was an incredible feeling, one of the best days of my life and career, but I think it is just the beginning and we can do great things next year.”

“I felt good, the people are very good to us and we feel their affection. I am happy to be here and I hope to stay next season as well,” he added.

Finally, the Rossoblù goalkeeper revealed his dream: “I want to do the best I can for the team, continue in Serie A and see how it goes. National team? It comes with work, slowly I will try.”
