Carlos Alcaraz gets out of balance ahead of Roland Garros

After his untimely elimination in the third round at the Internazionali d’Italia at the hands of world number 135 Fábián Marozsán, all of Carlos Alcaraz’s concentration is turned to Roland Garros. During an interview given to the microphones of “La7 Deportes,” the Murcian tennis player spoke bluntly about the players to watch out for in the French Open.

“I think that because of the results I am getting and the level of confidence I have achieved, I am one of the candidates to win the tournament. However, there are several players to watch out for. Rafa would be one of the strongest opponents to beat. I am convinced that in addition to me, players like Djokovic, Rune and Sinner are the ones with the best chances to go far at Roland Garros,” admitted the new world number one.

“Physically I feel good. In Rome I arrived a little tired from previous commitments. I’m sorry for going out with Marozsán, but the defeat allowed me to rest these days so I can fully recover to start training for Roland Garros,” added Carlos Alcaraz.
