Conclusion with controversy of the first semifinal of the Internazionali d’Italia women’s internationals at the Foro Italico in Rome. Ukrainian Anhelina Kalinina beat Russian Veronika Kudermetova 7-5 5-7 6-2 in two hours and 50 minutes and refused to shake hands with her opponent at the end of the match. The second semifinalist will emerge from the match between Russian-Kazakh Elena Rybakina and Latvia’s Jelena Ostapenko.For Kalinina, world number 47 (Kudermetova is number 12), it is the first final of her career in a WTA 1000.
