Max Verstappen organizes sim race for Emilia-Romagna region

The Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix was supposed to be held in Imola this weekend, which was rightfully canceled due to the floods that hit the region.

The F1 World Championship race will be “replaced,” as the Italian version of motorsport.com reports, by four virtual races on the same Imola circuit one after the other with four different cars.

This sim race event is being organized by Verstappen’s own virtual racing company, Verstappen.com Racing, and the two-time world champion himself will participate along with other drivers, including Aston Martin’s Felipe Drugovich and Alpine’s Jack Doohan’s third drivers.

The event will be associated with the same charity supported by AlphaTauri, to which spectators during the races can make donations.
