Possible pilot market-related news with Honda’s return

After a brief hiatus (although it is still collaborating with Red Bull), Honda is reportedly determined to return, in person, to Formula 1. According to reports in Gazzetta dello Sport, the Japanese giant has now decided to return to F1 starting with the 2026 season.

There would already be an agreement with Aston Martin. Honda will supply the powertrains to the British team, which will end its relationship with Mercedes to walk alone with Honda backing it. In short, after Audi and Ford, the welcome return of Honda that could also lead to news on the drivers’ market front. For the record, Alonso, in 2026, will be 45 years old.
