Olivia Rozanski lands at Volley Bergamo
Olivia Rozanski is the first new face of Volley Bergamo 1991 for the 2023-2024 season. The setter arrives from Chieri, fresh winners of the CEV Challenge Cup. And so, after Skowronska and Gujska, Radecka, Smarzek and many others, here comes a new Polish stalwart to Bergamo. This will be her second Italian season. At the first one she immediately put a trophy in her trophy case, for the second tricolor adventure she chose Volley Bergamo 1991. To continue gathering excitement.
Polish national, French by birth, a daughter of art following in her mother’s footsteps, a Polish player who ended her career in France, Olivia, under the orders of Italian coach Stefano Lavarini, will work for the entire summer with her national team and will play the VNL, the European Championship and go in the hunt for Olympic qualification. He will then reach Bergamo to wear the red and blue jersey.
Born in 1997, before his arrival in Italy he also wore the jerseys of Bielsko-BiaÅa and Legionovia.
“I was born in France and lived there for 17 years,” she says upon her arrival in Bergamo, “Then I moved to Poland and started a new chapter in my life. But I started playing volleyball in France when I was 12 years old: my mother was a volleyball player who started playing in Poland and ended her career in France. I always wanted to be like her.”
