Pep Guardiola gets Champions League from Hyenas
The Champions League final between Inter Milan and Manchester City will be played on June 10. The English team beat Real Madrid in the semifinals with a resounding four to zero in the return match. Manchester City’s squad cost three times as much as the Italian team and in attack has future Ballon d’Or Erling Haaland, a bomber who has scored an impressive 52 goals this year. Bookmakers, in fact, already give the Citizen as winners. So, the Italia 1 broadcast flew to Manchester where, at the Etihad Stadium, the players were about to arrive, to hand the Champions League trophy directly to the team. Captain Ä°lkay GündoÄan, fresh from winning the Premier League, was the first to receive the cup from correspondent Stefano Corti and to raise it, adding that, out of superstition, he would not autograph it. Then, surprisingly, it was instead the team’s coach Pep Guardiola who took it away with him, after exclaiming, “Be nice, you are very nice!”
The full report will be aired tonight, Tuesday, May 23, in prime time on Italia1, in the season’s final episode of “Le Iene.”
