Milan, step forward to Champions League quarterfinals

Heavy 1-0 loss for Milan against Tottenham in the first leg of the Champions League round of 16.

The Rossoneri took the lead on the first play thanks to Brahim Diaz, who was good at slotting in a dive behind Forster after the goalkeeper had made a great double save on Theo and on the Spaniard’s first conclusion.

Spurs, dangerous at the end of the first half with a couple of actions vitiated however by offside, also risked a double in the final: De Ketelaere and Thiaw however missed the appointment with the goal.

The return match is scheduled in London on March 8.
