Simone Inzaghi after Coppa Italia targets Manchester City
The Biscione now doesn’t want to stop.
Simone Inzaghi and Inter won their sixth personal Coppa Italia and the ninth in the club’s history, respectively. The celebration at the Stadio Olimpico after the win over Fiorentina, however, does not distract attention from the Champions League final, and the Nerazzurri coach stresses in the heat of the moment that he believes in the run of form.
“I am happy, because we wanted to reconfirm the Coppa Italia already won last year and the boys did really well. Also because Fiorentina gave us a lot of trouble,” Inzaghi told ‘Mediaset’. “Our approach was wrong, but the boys recovered and we beat a worthy opponent.
The Inter coach then turned his attention to Manchester City and a Champions League final to face with confidence. “First we think about the league, then Istanbul. Ours is a great season, and now we want to play for everything,” Inzaghi assured.
