Ferrari, Leclerc and Sainz disappointed: ‘We could have done better’
Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz confessed their dissatisfaction with qualifying for the Monaco Grand Prix, which finished third and fifth, respectively.
“I am not satisfied with third place,” Leclerc said, “But we have to look at the current situation of the car. It was complicated qualifying and a very complicated weekend for me in particular. I struggled a lot with the car, we suffered a lot from the dips compared to the other cars, but in qualifying the car recovered a little bit.” I was more comfortable and we managed to get third. Winning? It will take more luck than in other years, I would say.”
Thus Sainz: “The first run of Q3 was very good, but in the second run I found Verstappen at 3 and 4, and I loaded the car. After that I found Tsunoda at 7 and 8, and finally Norris at the last sector. I found a lot of traffic on the fast lap, and I think you could have done a little more in Q3.”
