First WTA title for Lucia Bronzetti
Mission accomplished for Lucia Bronzetti in Rabat: the Italian tennis player won her first career WTA tournament, overcoming Austria’s Julia Grabher in the final.
The athlete from Rimini won after a very hard-fought challenge with the partials of 6-4 5-7 7-5: last season, also in Rabat, her compatriot Martina Trevisan had won.
Thanks to this victory, Lucia Bronzetti climbs 37 places in the WTA ranking, coming in 65th position. In a few days she will make her debut at Roland Garros against Ons Jabeur.
