Jannik Sinner’s surprise defeat at Roland Garros against the underdog Altmaier has made many insiders discuss on social media. Among them, Denis Shapovalov also expressed his opinion: “Honestly no other sport is like tennis, five and a half hours of unreal fight,” the Canadian wrote on his Twitter profile.
“It’s the most brutal sport in the world,” remarked former player Mark Petchey, referring to Sinner’s two missed match points. Thus Patrick McEnrore: “It’s tough for Sinner, but Altmaier you can’t help but love him…that’s tennis.”
