Spezia and Verona came back empty-handed from Rome (2-1 for the Giallorossi in a comeback, with Dybala scoring on a penalty kick in the 89th minute) and Milan (3-1 for the Rossoneri, who extended in the final with a brace from Leao after being caught by Faraoni’s goal), respectively, and, according to the regulations, will have to play-off to remain in Serie A next season.

The match will be played next Sunday but the venue will have to wait until at least Monday to know. Some hypotheses are already circulating, in particular the name of Mapei Stadium, the facility that hosts Sassuolo’s home matches, is being mentioned. Alternatives would also include the Stadio Tardini, since Parma’s run in the B playoffs is over.

The loser of the match between Spezia and Verona will accompany Sampdoria and Cremonese to the cadet league.
