MotoGp, Pol Espargaró: re-entry slips again
MotoGp: Pol Espargaró doesn’t make it for Mugello
Pol Espargaró’s return to the MotoGp circuit slips again. In fact, the Spanish centaur will not be able to race in the upcoming Italian Grand Prix, scheduled to take place at Mugello this weekend.
The Gas Gas team rider is still struggling with an edema on a vertebra that continues to bother him. Giving the official news was KTM through the release of a statement, which reads, “The GASGAS Factory Racing Tech3 team is looking forward to seeing Espargaró back on track, but we will have to wait a little longer. Pol is continuing his rehabilitation after his crash in the first GP of the season in Portugal, he has to recover from his back injury, but he is pushing hard to return to form. The goal was to return at the Mugello GP, but Pol still has some minor problems due to edema around his vertebrae that needs treatment. Both the rider and the team hope that number 44 can return in the coming weeks as the Italian GP is followed immediately by the German GP and the Dutch GP, before the long summer break. Meanwhile, Augusto Fernandez’s teammate at Mugello will once again be Jonas Folger.”
