Andrea Dovizioso in the Hall of Fame
The words of Andrea Dovizioso
Andrea Dovizioso has been inducted into the Motorcycling Hall of Fame.
“When you stop, people often forget what you’ve done, and instead now people appreciate it more and it means that I’ve accomplished something good,” said the Forli native. “By character I belittle many things, I didn’t feel so important that I had to receive this award, and it’s almost embarrassing to be together with certain names of champions, but it’s just by dwelling on people’s reactions that I’m appreciating it.
After six titles won by Valentino Rossi in eight years, it was Spanish riders who took the lion’s share of the MotoGp world championship. From 2012 to 2020 only they have won, with Jorge Lorenzo a two-time world champion, Marc Marquez (6) and Joan Mir, triumphant in 2020 with his Suzuki.
