F1, Max Verstappen ever closer to the legend Ayrton Senna
Senna won three World Championships, one more than Verstappen
With his victory at the Spanish GP (fifth win out of seven GPs contested in the season), Verstappen climbed to 40 GP wins in his career, consolidating his sixth position in the list of multiple F1 winners (in first place always Hamilton with 103 total wins).
Verstappen now has Senna (fifth with 41 GPs won, the last in Australia in 1993) in his sights. Should he win the next round of the World Championship in Canada, the two-time Dutch World Champion would join the Brazilian legend. But it doesn’t end there. Verstappen is speeding toward a third World Championship title, exactly as many as Senna won in his career (1988, 1990 and 1991).
