Liverpool has closed its first purchase for the 2023-2024 season. The Reds, in fact, have made official on their website the purchase of Alexis Mac Allister from Brighton for a sum around 40 million pounds. The Argentine midfielder will sign a contract until 2028.

“Mac Allister will arrive at Anfield less than six months after helping Argentina win the World Cup in Qatar last December, crowning a very impressive season in the Brighton shirt,” this the statement issued by the club.

In addition, the player himself spoke to the club’s official channels, “This is fantastic. It’s a dream come true, it’s great to be here and I can’t wait to get started. I wanted to be here from the first day of pre-season, so it’s good that everything has been made official. I can’t wait to meet my teammates.
