1000 Mile 2023, the show is about to begin
The five days of 1000 Miglia 2023: for the first time, the 420 cars (405+15 on Special List) will tackle five stages and over 2,000 kilometers. With Andrea Vesco chasing the record of four consecutive victories, reaching Piedmont as in 1947-48 and stopping in Milan for the last night of the race. The days leading up to the start on Tuesday 13 from Brescia will give the city the usual spectacle of the Village of Piazza Vittoria, site of the punching and moment of encounter between the public and the protagonists of the race, and the squares of the center where the parked cars can be admired up close.
The opening of the Village will experience a prologue from 4:30 p.m. on Sunday 11 when two special projects will be presented: the technology of the Self-Driving Car, which will travel on open roads for the first time, and the contemporary art of the eight “automobile”-themed sculptures that will be donated to the city. Starting at 6:30 p.m., one hundred cars will compete for the Roberto Gaburri Trophy, which, on a city circuit starting from the Village and ending in Piazza Paolo VI, will officially kick off the sporting activities. Both the Ferrari Tribute and the 1000 Miglia Green, a regularity race for full-electric models, are confirmed. The official voices of Radio Deejay will narrate all phases of the race, both from the route and during the days in Brescia and at the stage arrivals in Cervia-Milano Marittima, Rome, Milan and Parma. Saturday, June 17, grand finale in the city with 1000 Miglia The Night: a free concert by Leo Gassmann on the stage in Piazza Loggia.
1000 Miglia, by vocation grateful to the territories that every year welcome the passage of the race with warmth and participation, supports in the emergency fundraising for the flooded countries launched by the Giornale di Brescia: at the Brescia Paddock there will be a dedicated space where all the information to make the donation will be provided.
