Valentino Rossi’s bittersweet debut at the Circuit de la Sarthe in Le Mans, where the prestigious 24 Hours is scheduled for the weekend. The Doctor, who is participating in the Road to Le Mans, started from second position in race-1 at the wheel of the WRT Team BMW M4.

A series of off-track runs by the prototypes dropped him to sixth place, but the former MotoGp champion with a series of overtaking moves ended his stint in second before handing over the wheel to teammate Policand. However, the French driver compromised everything with a spin, and the pair eventually finished only in 15th position. Race 2 is scheduled for Friday.
